We are a young, interdisciplinary team and eager to understand complex biological systems using tailored chemical approaches. 

In order to grow our team, we are currently looking for PhD students from various backgrounds, such as chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmaceutical sciences or a related field.

We are also looking for a lab technician with a background in biochemistry, microbiology (ideally anaerobic bacterial cultivation) or proteomics. If you are interested in joining us, please send your application documents via email and we will discuss the individual projects.

Are you a Bachelor's or Master's student from Jena or a different university and would like to join us for a lab rotation ("Laborpraktikum") or a Bachelor's/Master's thesis project? We offer projects at the interface of organic synthesis, biochemistry, mass spectrometry and microbiology. Just get in touch and we can discuss potential topics that fit your scientific background and interests!
