Gary completed his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), followed by a Master with a focus on Biochemistry. His Master thesis investigated the binding site identification of Ciprofloxacin probes to the human off-target AIFM1. Moreover, he established SAR sudies of bacterial protease binders for proximity-based PROTACs using proteomic-based methods. In his PhD project, he aims to synthesize novel chemical probes and investigate unknown gut microbe-host interactions using ABPP.
